4 Reasons To Be Glad Summer’s Over

September 21, 2017

Let’s face it, summer is amazing. Pretty dresses, embellished sandals, cocktails, holidays, longer days – what’s not to love?! But for today’s blog, we’re refusing to mourn the loss of summer, and instead we’re getting excited about autumn and winter. So read on for our four reasons to be glad summer’s over…

New Season Fashion

New Season Fashion - Cardigans, Boots & Warm Coats

Summer sandals might be cute, but the Autumn/Winter season is the true time to show off your fashion credentials. From the ‘it’ colour of the moment (red), to a luxe new winter coat, and must-have over the knee boots, we can’t get enough of AW17 trends.

Autumn Coffee

Flat White Coffee

Oh we do love a seasonal coffee on a crisp October morning, and the coffee shops are spoiling us this autumn! That warming cup of joe is all the sweeter when it’s got a seasonal twist, everyone’s getting in on the act; from small independents to the high street giants, you’ll find pumpkin spice, salted caramel, cinnamon and a host of warming flavours all season long. It’s time for a bit of overindulgence, top up your coffee with whipped cream and pecan nuts. Blow away the cold, hello autumn!

Cooler Nights

Is it just us, or is there nothing worse than trying to get to sleep when it’s 25 °C outside. Give us a chilly evening, a heavy duvet and cosy PJs over a balmy summer night anytime! To make sure you’re prepped for colder nights, stock up on super-soft pyjamas, comfy slippers and a thick dressing gown. Add in a chick flick and a glass of wine, and you’ve got the perfect autumn evening!

The Return of Sparkle

The Return of Sparkle - Shoes, Makeup & Sequin Bags

For some reason, we never feel quite right wearing sparkle from January to August, but as soon as September hits, out comes the glitter and embellishment in prep for the party season. This autumn/winter, we’ll be wearing sparkle on our trainers, our nails, our eyes, and our accessories (although maybe not all at once!)

What are you most looking forward to about autumn and winter?
