Luckily, we’ve created this guide to the perfect swimwear for every body shape. Whether you’re a curvy apple or a juicy pear, read on to find your ideal swimsuit.

Apple shape

Your waist might be as wide as or wider than your hips, and you have an ample bust. You might have slimmer hips, a flatter bottom and slim legs.

Choose swimwear with thick straps to make your shoulders look narrower. If you’re opting for a bikini, try high-waisted or high rise styles to nip in your waist and show off your bottom and legs. Tankinis are a great choice if you’re not keen on showing your tum.

Pear shape

You might have narrower shoulders and a smaller bust with wider hips and a round bottom.

Plunge style swimwear looks fabulous on you as it draws attention upwards to your narrowest part. Look for swimsuits or mix and match bikinis which have a plainer bottom half with a printed top for a super flattering style. Avoid boy shorts styles and instead look for higher cut bottoms to make your legs look longer. Triangle bikinis are also a great shape for pears.

Hourglass shape

Hourglass shapes have a narrower waist and curvy bust and hips. Your main focus should be on accentuating those curves.

Vintage inspired styles look fabulous on hourglass shapes. You should opt for sweetheart necklines with extra support, and try bandeau styles to avoid strap marks. If you’re choosing bikini bottoms, go for styles that are cut straight across the waist to show off your curves. Avoid mix and match bikinis, as contrasting prints can make your figure look out of proportion.

Rectangle shape

You’re straight up and down, with similar width shoulders, bust, waist and hips.

If you have a long torso you should avoid one piece swimsuits. Instead, go for swimwear with feminine accents like ruffles to add curves to your figure. Swimdresses are a great option too – choose one with padded busts to give you an extra boost.
