Sleek and straight
Versace sent models down the runway with gorgeous, swishy, sleek and straight hair, which is the perfect look to copy for a glamorous night out. To protect your hair from summer heat, chlorine and saltwater while on holiday, we love coconut oil. Mix it with egg and honey to create a protein rich mask to reduce split ends, or if your hair is super dry rub a little into the ends after styling. For an ultra-sleek, Versace-esque look, use a smoothing shampoo and conditioner, blow dry with a wide paddle brush and smooth over with straighteners. Hello supermodel locks.
Get The Glow
Glowy skin will always be a big trend for summer, and it was a key look for lots of SS17 catwalk shows. To get your own glow, make sure you stay hydrated in the heat, drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Use a moisturiser with an SPF, and protect your eyes from the sun with gorgeous sunglasses. For a little extra help getting your glow, we love a highlighter. Ladies with oily skin will want to choose powder highlighters (we love MAC and Illamasqua), whilst if your skin is dry try liquid highlighters by Benefit or YSL. For the ultimate faux glow, sweep your highlighter across your forehead, down the bridge of your nose and along your cheekbones.
The Statement Lip
Our summer beauty mantra? When in doubt, just add lipstick. A bold lip is a great way to feel glamorous without having to wear loads of makeup. Coral tones look fab with a sun tan, or try a deeper berry colour to make your teeth look extra white. Choose moisturising lip oils or glosses, and look out for products with an SPF as your lips need protection from the sun too. Keep your base fuss free and smooth, and avoid bright eye shadows to let your lips do the talking!
