The Basic Tee: Celebrating an Everyday Favourite

March 8, 2020

There’s just something about a basic white tee that we (and those super stylish celebs!) can’t get enough of, so for today’s blog we’re celebrating an icon and looking at the most chic ways to wear that crisp white t-shirt. From double denim, knitwear and pretty florals, we’ll show you how some of our favourite ladies are styling the look. Read on for some every day wardrobe inspiration…

Khloe Kardashian

Arguably our favourite Kardashian, Khloe knows how to dress her curves and this relaxed outfit is one of our favourite looks she’s worn. She’s paired her basic white tee with a super sexy pair of midrise skinny jeans in a light blue wash. We also love how stylish her maxi cardigan looks with the outfit; a great way to layer up as we hit spring. Top off the look a la Khloe with a stylish wide brimmed hat for the perfect casual weekend outfit.

Ashley Graham

Gorgeous Ashley is definitely channelling her inner early ‘90s super model with this white tee double denim combo and we can’t get enough of it. Are you brave enough to give double denim a go? If yes, try tucking your white tee into a pair of boyfriend fit jeans with an oversized denim jacket in a similar wash. Accessories-wise, a simple black leather belt like Ashley’s will do the trick. We’d go for round toe trainers to keep the look casual or to make it dressier, try some simple heeled sandals to add a little extra elegance.

Kimberley Walsh

There’s no denying that a white t-shirt and denim go together like wine and cheese, Ant and Dec and other perfect pairings, but it’s also really easy to make a white t-shirt work for a more glam look too. Kimberley Walsh has hit the nail on the head with her white t-shirt and pretty floral skirt outfit. Steal her style and tuck your tee into a high waist midi pencil skirt in a bold print. It creates a really flattering silhouette and is a styling trick that can work well for everything from a chic work look to drinks with the girls, or even an outfit for a christening or wedding.
