The National Television Awards 2012: Who Wore What

February 7, 2012 Posted by

In a whirlwind of glitz and glamour all our TV favourites headed to the red carpet for this year’s National Television Awards. Whilst some stars of the small screen showed of their impeccable sense of style, others fell flat at the feet of the fashion police. Check out some of our favourite outfits, still fresh in our minds, then take a look at our fabulous collection of plus size evening dresses.

Fringed Party Dress The National Television Awards 2012: Who Wore WhatFearne Cotton

Working the 1920s trend to perfection, Fearne Cotton looked gorgeous in a shimmering flapper-esque dress from Temperley. The 1920s have come back with a vengeance this season and here at Curvissa we’re loving the look too. Our favourite is this fringed party dress from M.I.M; adorned with layers of fringe, fine golden sequins, beads and stones, it’s perfect for channelling your inner flapper.

Holly WilloughbyEvening Dress The National Television Awards 2012: Who Wore What

Looking sleek and sophisticated, Holly Willoughby stepped out in a gorgeous floor sweeper by Roland Mouret. Whilst she could be accused of playing it safe, the chic but simple design was one of the big style successes of the night and is a look that can be easily recreated. For something just as elegant but with an added dash of glitz, take a look at this gorgeous evening dress by M.I.M.

Sparkle Evening Dress The National Television Awards 2012: Who Wore WhatMichelle Keegan

Voted the nation’s sexiest soap star, Michelle Keegan also won some serious style points at the awards ceremony this year, thanks to her fabulous choice of dress. In a sparkling nude gown by Rachel Gilbert, Michelle wowed the crowds before joining her Corrie cast mates to win the award for Best Serial Drama. Recreate her sparkling floor-length look in this evening dress from M.I.M.

Andrea McleanTwo Tone Party Dress The National Television Awards 2012: Who Wore What

With her fellow Loose Women in tow, Andrea Mclean kept it chic in a glamorous monochrome dress from Bernshaw. With a deep v neck and overlapping design along the front, the gown avoided the ‘boring’ label and ensured Andrea emerged style victorious. For a similar look, check out this satin two tone dress from M.I.M, complete with a black and white contrast and seductive cut along the neckline.

Check Pinafore Dress The National Television Awards 2012: Who Wore WhatLorraine Kelly

Lorraine Kelly’s choice of a swinging tartan dress might not have sat alongside the sleek gowns worn by the rest of small screen starlets, but that’s exactly what we loved about it. Have as much fun with fashion as Lorraine and embrace the tartan trend in this check pinafore dress. Wear with flats for a casual daytime outfit, or dress up with heels for a fun party look.
